Angel House is a nonprofit dedicated to building homes for children in developing nations, providing them with security, stability, and a sense of belonging. Guided by principles of unconditional acceptance and resilience, Angel House transforms lives by nurturing children's futures through education, emotional support, and community integration.
Additionally, Angel House is passionate about aiding in the foster care crisis in the US, that is why we strategically partner with local heroes in our own community who are creating lasting change through mentorship, therapy and wrap-around support.
At the age of 23, Lindsay founded Angel House while in India for the first time. She was so moved with compassion, she promised to come back and provide sustainable housing for the group of orphaned street children she had the opportunity to spend a week with. That week marked her life and started a fire within her to take action on what she had seen and experienced. After throwing together a makeshift website, logo and presentation that she shared with anyone and everyone who would listen, that very year she raised enough funds to come back and fulfill her promises. In December 2010, the ribbon was cut on the very first Angel House orphanage for 50 of the children she had met back in February of that year.
The vision of Angel House was dramatically accelerated in 2011 when Lindsay participated on the NBC game show "Minute To Win It" where Lindsay’s story was featured to more than 8.5 million household viewers. In 2011, they built 11 new homes with her earnings. Since that point, Angel House has appeared in numerous other global media platforms as well as ABC’s popular television show “Shark Tank.”
The original vision of Angel House was to build 100 homes in her lifetime. Since reaching that goal after just 7 years, the vision has expanded. The new goal is to reach, rescue and rehabilitate 100,000 children all over the world.
Give hope and transform lives with your ongoing support.
